Linda Sorenson has energized and empowered kids and adults to live vibrant, healthy, creative lives through her extensive writing, editing, and speaking skills for over 25 years. Co-author of The Organic Theatre: Health Activities Book, she has led fun, action-packed workshops, classes, fairs, camps, and Artist-in-Residence programs for 20,000+ kids in the U.S., Canada, and Europe. She is currently writing a sequel with more interactive, hands-on wellness fun.
Linda has showcased projects and products for a variety of clients in business and education using her copywriting and public relations skills. Clients have included: U.S. Fish & Wildflife Service, National Association for Interpretation, Science Museum of MN, and World Travel & Incentives.
Drawing on her life-long passion for the natural world, education, travel, and creativity, Linda contributed to six books on those subjects. She created, wrote, and edited newsletters on science education, incentive and business travel, and tourism celebrating diverse places and cultures. Linda also copy-edited two books on computers.
She has led imaginative workshops and camps for hundreds of kids on creativity, storytelling, cultural delights, peace, and outdoor appreciation.
As a volunteer, Linda led publicity for the historic 1986 American-Soviet Peace Child Tour in Minneapolis, MN which starred American and Soviet youth actors, top Soviet rock band, and a top Soviet female vocalist. She assisted the band at the Washington, DC Kennedy Center finale and in NYC, and later worked in the U.S. Peace Child office where she first met Rola. Linda also wrote copy for UNICEF’s Campaign for Child Survival and the Pine Tree Tennis Classic which raised funds to battle children’s cancer.
Linda has a B.S. in Communications with a core in Environmental Interpretation. She lives in White Bear Lake, a suburb of St. Paul, Minnesota.
